There are some pieces that become instant classics and stay on regular rotation for years to come. I am obsessed with knits - especially in black, grey and white (no surprise there!) I found this gorgeous grey cashmere sweater at Holt Renfrew - it was marked down over 70% at their 'Now or Never Sale' and I couldn't resist. I like to get things on sale whenever possible and that often means shopping off-season - if it's a classic piece that will last for a while, then it doesn't matter when you pick it up!
Accessories are always great investments - especially quality ones. It's taken me years to learn, but I've finally realized that if I have a bit more self-control and don't buy a lot of cheaper things, I can save up to invest in some of the nicer ones. That said - I still try to find it for less than retail prices!
Two of my favorites in this category are the Alexander Wang Marion Prisma Bag and Gabi Boots, both with silver/rhodium details. I stalked these for quite a while until I could found some I could manage without breaking the bank (I don't know about you, but as much as I love luxury brands, they're not always within my budget!) I found the boots online at ssense.com when they were having their seasonal sale and the bag is available now at Alexander Wang for over half-off!
